CSR Statement of the Management

Sense of responsibility within

Since the company was founded in 1945, MOLL has demonstrated its sense of social responsibility. In addition to purely economic matters, social issues, the welfare of society and environmental concerns are always taken into account by the company management.

Our values

The implementation of these values is reflected in the following points

1. CSR in the field of the environment and production through

Batteries from MOLL store electrical energy in an extremely environmentally friendly way and contribute to reducing global CO2 emissions. During production, we ensure that the materials used are environmentally friendly. Our production facilities are designed and built in such a way that all components achieve maximum durability and are recyclable to the greatest possible extent.

  • Environmental management: 

    Promoting environmental awareness among our employees and using resources and raw materials sparingly are part of our corporate principles. MOLL therefore has a certified environmental management system according to DIN EN ISO 14001. The environmental management officer ensures that all requirements according to DIN EN ISO 14001 are met by means of regular internal audits.

  • Energy management:

    s an energy-intensive company, Moll promotes environmental awareness through an energy management system certified according to DIN EN ISO 50001. At MOLL, the sustainability of energy and environmental management begins in the planning phase for products and manufacturing processes.

2. CSR in the field of HR through

  • Occupational safety and health protection:

    MOLL ensures occupational safety and health protection in the workplace at least within the framework of the statutory provisions. Our safety officer continuously monitors compliance with the applicable standards. Our employees are regularly examined by company doctors and trained in occupational health and safety.

  • Education and training:

    The training of our own junior staff and the continuous qualification of our employees are the basis of our success. We train young people in technical and commercial professions. An internal training programme is an integral part of our human resources management.

  • Work – Life – Balance:

    In order to reconcile work and family life, MOLL employees can flexibly organise their working hours in suitable areas. After the birth of a child, MOLL facilitates the return to working life. For employees with permanent employment contracts, MOLL offers a company pension scheme after the probationary period.

  • Diversity management:

    The company ensures that no one is discriminated against on the basis of ethnic origin, gender, religion or world view, disability, age or sexual identity in the hiring, dismissal, promotion, wage determination or instruction of employees in their conduct towards each other.

    Our actions comply with German legislation, EU directives, the UN Convention on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the UN Convention on Civil and Political Rights, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the European Convention on Human Rights.

    Equal opportunities in the workplace are a matter of course for MOLL.

  • Business ethics

    Every MOLL employee respects the principles of fair competition and the protection of business secrets. Strict compliance with all legal and contractual regulations regarding integrity and factual decision-making is a principle at MOLL.

3. CSR in the community through

  • Local involvement:

    As an important regional employer, MOLL is aware of its responsibility and therefore supports social, cultural and environmentally relevant activities in the region. We cooperate with universities nationwide and provide assistance with papers, technical papers, master's theses and dissertations.

  • Communication with internal and external partners

    Open communication is a prerequisite for us to align expectations and positions and to make decisions comprehensible. Employees are regularly informed about current events and future developments in the company as well as trends in the industry.

    In regular discussions with customers and suppliers, joint successes are summarised and new goals defined.

    The public and politicians receive an overview of MOLL's activities through regular press releases and personal discussions. Press reports and other important information are also available in a special section on our website.

    We maintain close cooperation with the associations that are important to us.

4. CSR – Sustainability in supplier relations

Sustainability is a fundamental part of our business and purchasing strategy. Therefore, we consistently implement our high standards as well as the requirements of our customers with regard to sustainability in our supplier relationships on a partnership level.

The selection and development of suppliers always includes environmental protection as well as labour and social standards on an equal footing with economic aspects.

  • Employment standards:

    Compliance with human rights, the free choice of employment, the outlawing of child labour, freedom of association and equal opportunities of all kinds are indispensable requirements for all employees of our suppliers. We expect that working hours, wages and social benefits at least comply with the legal regulations and are oriented towards the industry standard of the respective country.

    Safety and health at each workplace must meet applicable national standards. Every supplier is committed to the improvement and continuous development of the working environment.

  • Business ethics:

    The highest level of integrity is expected in all supplier relationships. Employees and business partners are required to make business decisions exclusively on an objective basis. Any form of personal advantage is to be refrained from.

    Laws that protect and promote competition must be observed. Suppliers are obliged to treat all non-obvious commercial and technical details from the supplier relationship as business secrets.

  • Environmental protection and product safety:

    Suppliers and MOLL's product development must preventively pursue aspects of a sustainable environmental policy for all products and their manufacture. Products must be tested for environmental standards as early as the development process, and the product life cycle up to recycling must be evaluated. Environmentally friendly and resource-saving manufacturing processes are assumed and required.

    All products and services must meet the contractually defined criteria for quality and product safety upon delivery.

We expect every supplier to comply with and implement these standards and check them during customer visits and audits. In addition to general quality management according to DIN EN ISO 9001, all suppliers are required to strive for environmental certification according to DIN EN ISO 14001 and, in the case of energy-intensive manufacturing processes, certification according to DIN EN ISO 50001.
