Professor Peter Urban from the management of Moll Batteries had a wonderful surprise on Wednesday for the 19 preschool children at the Protestant daycare center.
"I'm Uncle Peter," he casually explained to them and revealed to the girls and boys that he was also a grandfather. His grandchildren are three and eight years old, so not preschoolers themselves, but especially the "older one" had given him some tips. Peter Urban passionately supports traffic safety education in kindergarten and had therefore brought a colorful booklet for each preschool child.
For Coloring and Checking
The 30-page booklet contains child-friendly content about daily traffic situations, exercises about left and right, traffic lights, zebra crossings, traffic signs, behavior at bus stops, coloring tasks, multiple choice questions, and much more. To allow them to start right away, the Professor had also brought 20 sets of pencils.
"The preschoolers need something new now to get through the last few days," kindergarten director Beate Wagner thanked him with a smile. She had recently also let the preschoolers participate in the major traffic education day organized by the traffic safety watch on the fire department grounds. A heartfelt thank you came from the new pastor Raphaela Holzinger. And of course from the children too: Because Prof. Urban had followed his granddaughter's advice and packed a plush Pikachu figure in the backpack for each child.
