MOLL participates in business delegation trip to Algeria with Dr Robert Habeck, Vice-Chancellor and Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection
MOLL Batterien GmbH, represented by CEO Dr Klaus Eichhorn, took part in the business delegation trip of Vice Chancellor and Federal Minister of Economics Dr Robert Habeck to Algeria on 07/08 February 2024.
MOLL has signed a technology transfer and licence agreement with its Algerian partner company in the presence of the Federal Minister and Vice-Chancellor Dr Robert Habeck, the Algerian Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab and the German Ambassador to Algeria, H.E. Ms Elisabeth Wolbers. The company Friction Tec is an up-and-coming manufacturer of energy storage systems in Algeria that wants to implement the innovative MOLL technology in its product portfolio.
The new strategy of MOLL, in addition to the production of batteries for the automotive industry, for special mobile applications and for the aftermarket, to build up the "International Licence Business" division on the basis of technology transfer, is now largely on track. Besides the partner company in Algeria, contracts have also been concluded in recent weeks with industrial partners in Colombia, Armenia, Qatar and the United Kingdom.
The delegation trip was also a valuable opportunity to deepen MOLL's business relationships in Algeria, to establish contact with political representatives such as the Algerian Minister of Industry Ali Aoun and the associations, and to get to know new potential business partners - all in all a complete success.
